Bro. Thomas Worley

Minister of Music

Thomas was born and raised in rural western Virginia. He grew up in a Christian home and attended church regularly. At an early age, he realized his need for salvation and accepted Christ as his personal Savior. After graduating high school, Thomas attended Ambassador Baptist College, where he studied music and Bible and met his wife, Alyssa. The two graduated in 2016, were married, and moved to Asheville to serve at Temple Baptist Church and School. They have since been blessed with three children. Thomas enjoys spending time with his family and watching Atlanta Braves baseball and Dallas Cowboys football.

Bro. Owen Clark

Outreach and Childrens Director

Brother Owen was born and raised in Western North Carolina. He  attended UNC-Chapel Hill (though he is still an avid NC State fan – GO  PACK!) and graduated from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2000. In the spring of 2001, he attended a revival held by Dr. Ron Comfort at Temple Baptist Church and, soon after, trusted Christ as his Savior. He met  his wife Natalia while working at a local hospital pharmacy, and they were married in 2003. In 2006, he enrolled in Ambassador Baptist College and earned his degree in Bible and Pastoral Studies. Owen and Natalia have four lively and beautiful children, and they have served alongside one another at Temple Baptist Church for over 20 years, including 15 years on the youth staff. He now leads the elementary children’s ministry at Temple and is involved with the outreach program. Owen loves to spend time with his family, cook delicious food, and go to the woods.

Bro. Philip Buck

Business Administrator

Philip Buck, an Indiana Hoosier, was born into a Christian home, accepting Christ as his Savior at five years old. After attending public schools and Christian schools through postgraduate work, he has served since 1977 in Christian Education from Maryland, to Vermont, to Florida, and currently in Asheville, North Carolina. Looking back over the years, serving in business offices and classrooms has been God’s fulfilling calling on his life. He has a faithful wife, four children, and 12 grandchildren. The days are long gone for playing basketball, softball, and tennis. Reading, Dad jokes, walking, and spending time with family in New England, San Francisco, and South Carolina are a satisfying trade-off. Traveling to Major League Baseball stadiums and historical sites may be a possibility in a few years, if the Lord allows. John 3:30, Galatians 6:14, along with Psalm 71, are scriptures that have been needed reminders of whom he serves, and who called him and kept him in Christian service over the past years.
